i will be staying in chinatown next week in new york and i would like to ask which subway i have to take to go there from pennsylvania station . Let me know thanks!!

Walk over to 6th Avenue/Broadway (they intersect at 34th St) and take the N, R, Q or W train downtown to Canal St. That will put you in the heart of Chinatown.
The other answer (take the A, C or E) will put you too far west. Walking one avenue over to 6th Avfrom Penn Station (7th Av) will save you a lot of walking through crowds on Canal St.

You can take the "A", "C" or "E" train at the 34th Street/Penn Station station to the Canal Street Station (drops you off on 6th Avenue)...then walk a few blocks east to get to the heart of Chinatown.
