Hi Vicki...whenever there are changes in a cat's behaviour it generally is signaling your cat isn't feeling well. Consider at least ringing your veterinarian and discussing your cat's symptoms/behaviour and they can help you determine if your cat needs to come in to be evaluated further as well as treated respectively.

Well, I have experinced that, but she was not 6 or 7 yeas old. She was abot 4 months old. My cat did that because she was living in a cage for two months wit 5 other kittens. I do not know why. Theony reaI could theink of would be that dos she have a cat bed to sleep in? that might be the reason.

It might be behavior- or it might be that your kitty isn't feeling so good. When I had an old cat going into his final illness, he laid down in the litter box because he simply didn't have the strength to get out again.

If this just started, take your kitty to a check-up. Cats are very much creatures of habit, so any change in behavior should be viewed as suspicious.

Good luck.

my cat did that she was a stray and blind and she was in the litter box 24/7 so we got her a cat bed like box. I think she felt secure in the litter box and then in bed box.

Good luck

I hate to ask, but do you have a flea problem? I know that some cats will find unique places to sleep if there are fleas in the carpet (like the litter box, bath tub etc...) so they can escape the aggravation.
