I have formatted my hard drive to fat32 and i'm using a wd 320gb drive. Works fine with my pc but ps3 will not recognize it at all. Tried all 4 usb ports and am using a 60gb ps3. Don't know what to do or where to go now. I've also reformatted a few times just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke.

We didn't format the external before hooking it up we just took it out of the box and attached it. When we went to download stuff off the net it asks you were to save it and you select the external...if you already have video and music files on the drive then
Simply take a jump drive, external hard drive, etc…hook it up to the USB port on the front and then you--

Goto to view under music, or video, or photos, scroll down to the drive you've hooked up hover over it then push Triangle(notX) then select display all (view all)(press X) and it will show everything on the jump drive or external harddrive. Then either listen to or view the music, video, photos or copy to the ps3 hard drive directly.

If you have a psp you can also use that to move files from pc to

How about backing up your data from this HDD and reformatting it into NTFS system? Note: you won't be able to go back to FAT system after this!
