ok well for about a month and a half, everytime i get out of the shower i have these kinda acne looking rashes on my thigh. i take a shower about every other day so i thought it was because i was just dirty. but so far twice it has gotten on my calves and a little on my stomach. My dad says they look like bites but, then i read that mersa/staff infection can start out as spider bite looking and that people just ignore them until it gets BAD. please help me i have a great life and i am so young to die. AGE: 12

MRSA is quite painful and develops quickly, over a matter of hours or days. You would also be running a high fever. You do not have MRSA or staph. The rash is probably acne or dermatitis.

This does not sound like mersa. You would not be alive if you have mersa for a month and a half. Mersa spreads very, very fast. You would have no skin left. If it's just when you get out of the shower you could be allergic to a soap you're using. Did you switch soap in the last month? You still might want to go to the doctor though just to check it out.

Calm down, take a deep breath. First of all, even if you had staph or MRSA, you won't die. Staph can be treated with antibiotics and you are young and healthy and your immune system is probably strong enough to fight off MRSA. MRSA is more common among people with poor immune systems (like in the hospital or a nursing home).

I have a few questions about your rash.
1) how big is it? If you don't have a measuring tape, is it the size of a coin? Your palm? Larger than that?
2) does it itch at all?
3) Is it red or does it have white scaly parts?
4) do you have any other symptoms? fever?
4) ANY other descriptions will help.

I'll give you more information on what I think it is but please answer these questions

I agree with the nurse. It's either an allergic reaction to the soap or it could be some other form of dermatitis. If it was a Staph infection or MRSA, it wouldn't come and go. Instead, it would just keep getting worse. Try applying some hydrocortisone cream to the affected areas. If it continues, see a Dermatologist.

people think MERSA and STAFF look like spider bites, but they get really big on the skin like a boil. but if you have it all over go to a doctor and let them check. caus eit could just be a rash and he can give you something for it.

They do start out like a pimple or a boil. Have a skin specialist check it out. You could be allergic to the soap you're using. Since you're 12, acne is very common.

Well being i work in a health care profession your best bet is to go and see your Dr. If you have it you need to get on a medication to treat it so don't wait and just have your parents take you to see the Dr he/she will tell you what you have. Tell him how it all started. MRSA is nothing to play around with and you are only 12 yrs old you should be able to get rid of it relatively fast. Please seek medical attention. Good luck and God Bless.

mrsa doesn't come and go. it is likely that you just have some sort of allergy reaction going on, try changing the soap you use in the shower. And use lotion after you shower to keep your skin moist.
