I would guess that I consume 4000 calories a day. I have been working out 5 days a week. 2 days are cardio and abs and the other 3 are dedicated to lifting weights. Generally 4 sets of three excercises to muscle failure. I'd love to not have to change my diet and just work out to compensate. Will I eventually lose weight or tone up?

calories in calories out.... It is never good to get into a habit of consuming more than 1800 calories a day unless you are a marathoner or an Ironman Triathlete...As you age, your metabolism decrees and if you are still consuming 4000 a day you will find yourself on the path to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, all sorts of cancer and heart disease. Fresh veggies, fruits and lean meats with occasional high fiber carbs and lots of WATER (not sports drinks) is a health way to eat Avoiding sodas, sugar, processed flours and foods will keep you healthy, trim and well and looking younger than your years for a lifetime! Best Wishes Casey!!

It depends how big you are to begin with but honestly, it doesn't sound like you're doing enough to make much of an impact, especially as you're wolfing down 4000 calories a day. That's a lot. Three exercises three days a week isn't going to cut it. You didn't tell us how long you do cardio, but I suspect you're not doing enough of that either.
You don't have to change your diet, just eat less of everything.

nope...the diet that you follow determines your body composition not the amount or types of exercise that you partake in.

going to the gym, using progressive resistance, training hard and regular is the EASY part. cooking meals from scratch, packing food with you all the time and eating 5-7 meals daily for years on end is not easy at all. there are no secret exercises or magic training routines. your diet has a direct effect on your endocrine system and the endocrine system governs the human body. a 4,000 calorie diet of all natural foods will result in a rather large but very lean physique. a 4,000 calorie diet of fast food and processed foods made by man in giant factories will result in a not very lean body. humans are designed to ingest foods provided by mother nature. just because a food item is sold in a store doesn't mean it's "good" for you. if not allergic to it you can only be sure that you won't drop dead immediately from eating it.

you are what you eat

I think diet plays an important role. You need diet and exercise to get maximum results. Sometimes you can also get help from supplements to help shed some additional pounds. Alli is a new over the counter pill that helps people lose weight. It blocks fat absorption. To read more about this pill, check the source list below. Good luck on your weight loss.

No, you may not get a 6 p.c.. in case you're fat - whether the muscle mass are there, no one would be waiting to work out them. Pizza and chips _is_ rapid nutrients. "I would desire to make DRASTIC variations, as an occasion, changing from semi skimmed milk to skimmed milk" it somewhat is a trivially hassle-free substitute. you purchase milk with a diverse coloration lid.

Are you doing bodybuilding?

4000 callories is twice what a normal person should eat, but it also depends if you are eating junkfood. Just eat 2000 calories without overdoing it and drink lots of water.
