I want to buy a camera phone, and in the details it says it is 300K CMOS, what is that in mega pixals?

This is 0.3 megapixels

CMOS means complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor. That's a fancy word for the camera sensor which is a CMOS chip.

300K means 300 thousand pixels. A megapixel is 1 million pixels. So 300 thousand/1million = 0.3 megapixels.

That's pretty low.
