Wow. I just received in the mail, a drawing of me a friend of mine had drawn from a photo, along with a card. He had written on it all the things I love. So thoughtful, and what a gesture. How do you thank someone for something like this? I have been so down lately and this has lifted my spirits so much.

Just tell your friend what you are saying here, in the form of a nice handwritten thank you note! I know that people love to hear that their efforts are appreciated, and to hear that something I did really lifted the spirits of a friend who'd been down would make me feel it was exactly what I intended, and I would really treasure the thank you note. Simple things can say and do so much! Good luck!

Tell him THANK YOU! And express your feelings to him - you don't have to get really "deep" if that makes you uncomfortable...just let him know that he lifted your spirits and you're really blessed to have him in your life.
