You can not be diagnosed over the computer.

Secondly, while it is possible to have 2 problems, we know that common problems happen commonly. Therefore, the likelihood of you having both TMJ dysfunction and neuralgia on the same side of the face, both flaring at the same time would be less likely than one problem.

If you are seeing a chiropractor, who is diagnosing you with 2 chronic conditions, and treating you with repetitive adjustments, which are not improving the condition, you may want to consider that you have been seeing the wrong provider for the wrong diagnosis for a long time.

Unlike the other responders, I do not recommend you see an orthopedist, cardiologist and/or an otolaryngologist. All of these are fine specialists and you may well need one, but it is best to find out what is wrong.

See your family practice physician, nurse practitioner or PA. They can run diagnostic test, do an appropriate physical examination and possibly if neccessary order a CT or MRI. They can also start you on treatment and/or get you referred to the appropriate specialist.

Specialists are great, but if the condition does not fall under their specialty, they will just refer you out to someone else, or tell you to go to your family practice clinic.

Need to go to a medical doctor now. Tests need to be done to find out what is causing the pain as several things could be the culprit from the TMJ to sinusitis to Bell's palsy. Go to a Dr. and get the tests done to find out for sure what the deal is and get treated. Chiropracters are OK for some things, but I personally think you need either a medical doctor or a doctor of osteopathy. Good luck!

I think chiropractic is great...but it doesn't solve everything. You should tell your chiro doctor those treatments aren't working. And you should see a medical doctor as well in case its something that chiropractic doesn't treat...say a severe sinus infection...or something more serious.

how old are you? It may be refered pain from your heart, since you said left side. Trigeminal neuralgia cannot be ruled out. They have triger points, when you wash your face or allow cold air blow on your face.
check with your cardiologist & later with your neuro.

Please see an M.D., rather than asking anonymous strangers to diagnose you.

If you believe, your treatment and answer both are with Acupuncture.
Your SI Meridian on left side is excessive or there is blockage.
If your acupuncturist knows SU-JOK system pl ask him to sedate heat on SI Meridian. If it works it is support to my research that we have Vital Energy in our body and is further classified in to left, right, up, and down(below diaphragm).
If it works pl mail me.

If it doesnot work go for traditional.
But SU-JOK IS VERY SIMPLE AND PAINLESS hence suggested.

If it is nuralgia or TMJ, acupuncture is the solution for it.

Alternate systems of medicine can only help you.

There is no medicine for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating All pains confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

For face pain the SU-JOK Acupressure may work. Pl search points in front of thumb nails or the finger tips, 3-7 mm below.
