One in your field. Even if it doesn't pay as well as a waitress getting a job that will be experience in your field is worth it. I worked in CPA firms while I got my degree and passed the test so could be licensed immediately.
Other than that nothing beats waitress work with it's great pay and flexible hours.

while attending college you have an excellent resource for jobhunting at the college's job placement office - they actively solicit and post open positions that are seeking college students, in addition to resume and interviewing workshops. In addition, you might want to consider working for the college - colleges maintain a large staff, and are usually seeking candidates for a wide variety of jobs, such as clerical, administrative, even janitorial. Go to the HR department or the college website and see what is currently available. Good luck!
