I think it's more than just not buying or eating unhealthy foods since most people find it nice or even part of the 'tradition' that they indulge in great christmas feasts and most of them think that it is okay to do so since it is just a once-a-year event. Also, there are a lot of parties during these time that you get to be invited more than once which meant more than once will you eat these food in the span of the Christmas season.
That sort of thinking, mixed with the aroma of the christmas feast makes it hard for people not to eat these so-called 'unhealthy food'.

its easy to say "dont buy or eat the unhealthy food". it is same as saying the air is full of germs and pollutants, so dont breate.
Eating is part of human survival. although some might have the mind set to eat healthy food, the general people are not so. hence they are worried about gaining wight in the holidays.
people go out to eat in the holidays to relatives place or so, and you can tell them what to cook.

It is all normal, i didn't put on weight for a while and i had no morning sickness at all. Just be careful what cheese you eat as some can be harmful to the baby but more soft cheeses and hard ones

Actually, I see the more sensible thing to do, as this is the time of year for special foods and events with yummy treats and not everyone wants to miss out on the little pleasures of something they love, is to have appropriate portions and make sure to exercise as well. That way, you are being healthy and sensible, while still enjoying yourself and not being restrictive. That seems more my speed.

You are so right about that. If, some people, don't seem to care enough to do anything about it the rest of the year, why should Christmas be any different. Sad, but so true.

i wish it were as easy as you were saying it and yes it would make sense, but you have to remeber that this is the time of year where our parents and families and whoever are bringing out there very best recipes and scrumptious food..very hard to resist
