My son said this tonight and it killed me...."Mom, when my brother and I were talking about 'IT' (sex) he said when you do it, you lose your gender" (The boys this conversation pertained to are 16 and 11, the 11 year old is about to go over puberty in school this year and is quite nervous so we have been preparing him for this. Anyway, I thought this was funny because the elder didn't say gender but virginity.)
Anyone have a similar experience (with wording that is)?

Thats too funny :) The other day, my four year old was playing around and hurt himself "down there" and yelled out "OHHH, MY NUTS!!" lol And I couldnt help myself, I cracked up, but quicky regained my composure..The story behind this is that Ive told him to call his *you know what* peanuts..and anyway, he hurt himself so bad that day that he got carried away and called them nuts. I explained to him that only grown ups have nuts and kids have peanuts, and he wasnt allowed to say that, so he could only say peanuts.

My parents just moved into their newly built house. They were there 6 days when their finished basement flooded! When we were visiting, some guys showed up to lift the carpets and to put fans in to dry everything. My 3 yr old son wanted to watch, so I told him to sit on the stairs out of the way. One of the men said to him "This is an awful mess" and my son said "No, my daddy said it's a f***in mess!" I was completely mortified!

By the way, his daddy DID say that!

I hit my head real bad, and swore in front of my 5 yr old. I told him that mommy said a bad word, and don't copy it. He said "you should say "tartar sauce" (like spongebob) instead mommy."
