Lots of possibilities.
Genuine night-blindness is one, but it's rare. It's associatied with Retinitis Pigmentosa and other tapeto-retinal degenerations. To check that requires a retinal inspection.

On the other hand, and much less drastic, you Rx may simply be slightly out-of-date. This would not show in the day time, but the size of the error is multiplied by the size of the pupils, and they are much bigger at night.

The other three obvious possibilities are contact lens related:
All of them appear principally at night. Once more, they are more obvious with or are directly related to the bigger night-time pupil.
Corneal oedema due to excessive wear or inadequate oxygen supply even with normal wear can produce a hazy cornea, giving haloes arond lights and general blur at night.
Dirty contacts can cause similar problems.
If the optical zone of the contacts is not large enough part of the pupil can be opposite a part of the lens which is not optically corrected (It's part of what's shaped for fit and comfort). This can also cause disturbing visual effects.

Ther's also true night myopia, but that's rare too.

If you have an up-to-date spectacle Rx,
(and if you haven't you should have.... nag, nag, nag...)
whether the contacts are responsible can be checked by yourself by using them at night, at least as far as the dirt and the optical zone is concerned. The corneal oedema, if present, would still be present as that takes some time to resolve.
The rest is a job for a professional examination and assessment.

Hello, I put in a google search for myself because I am BLIND at night and I am looking to order those headlights that are supposedly supposed to help with that and then I saw your post.

I am 93% sure you have been using a tanning bed for a few years, am I right or wrong? Pretty sure I'm right, I have used them off and on for about 7 years and ignored using the goggles ONLY for about 6 months of that 7 years and ever since then...I am totally blurred at night. I am convinced that is the reason and I know the damage is irreversable and that is why I am looking for these headlights. I'm pretty depressed that at the age of 25, I cannot see much after 6 PM but I can urge others either NOT TO USE A TANNING BED OR COVER YOUR EYES WITH A TOWEL OR GOGGLES.

ok maybe your contacts are not prescribed correctly or you need special night glasses go to an eye doctor and if nothing happens there then i think you should really go with your doctor and have a check up done
