I have two dogs...one is a pitbull and the other is a german shepard....the are both females.. and just recently the pitbull started to hump the german shepard......Does anyone know why she is doing this....They are both Fixed....

Im not worried about it being sexual...they are dogs ....I just wondered why this was happening

In my opinion it is because the pit is trying to be alpha of the pack. That is what wolfs do. A dog will do that to a human counterpart also. You cannot let her get away with it. You are alpha, not the dogs. But your German Shepard must me lower in the pack, and is submissive to her. That is life in the dog world. Good luck.

She is asserting her dominance over the German shepherd.

the pit wants to be the alpha dog u just have to let them work it out as lond as they dont attack each other

Its a dominance thing - all dogs do it. It's just how one dog says I out rank you in the pack. It does not mean your dogs are lesbians. It is not about sex.

Dominance, like everyone one has said. It's nothing sexual, if that is what you are worried about.
