Christians....I know I'm setting the stage for non-believers and/or racist to get in a jab here but it's worth it just to here the feed back of different Christians.
So heres the question(s)....
Do you believe in generational curses in todays world?
What if Christians marry-both have curses running through family line-how do you deal with that?
Do you suspect that you are dealing with any?

The Generational Curses doctrine may sound really good on the surface to some Christians but this is a heretical doctrine that suggests that salvation through Jesus Christ is not enough and that somewhere, the born again believer needs deliverance from the generational curses of their ancestors; That receiving Jesus is not enough to be free from the curses of ages past.
Our Bible says that Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. Hebrews 2:14-15 says "that through death he [Jesus] might destroy him that
had the power of death, that is, the devil;"
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Colossians 1:12-14 "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"
What Christians need to do is read their Bible. All the spiritual warfare material they will ever need is found in the pages of God's Holy Word. Our offensive weapon against the devil is the Word of God. The logos...the spoken word. The quoting of Scriptures. We need to know the Scriptures and obey God's Word and pray so that we will not be ignorant of the devil's devices. The devil loves to twist and distort the Word of God. He will distract the Christian from reading the Word of God.

Do I believe in curses? No.
Hmmm, my thought is it would be a non issue since Christians do not believe in curses because that would be prescribing a power to someone or something other then God. Which Christians don't do. Christianity and belief in curses are incompatible.
Am I dealing with any? Since I don't believe in them, no.
Edit: Proxy mom: Blessings are not for curses or "counter curses" it is not the same as a "Charm". A blessing is an infusion of grace, to contribute to happiness and the bond with God for particular guidance not for the purpose of warding off evil or countering curses. GRRRR this actual heresy you know.
EDIT: I am not trying to be mean but I am a student of theology (graduate) Curses and Christianity is not compatible. At least not in the context you are using an inherited demonic pathology thrust onto someone by invoking evil. Some people get unknowing Christians to believe all sorts of idiocy about generational curses. But in Deuteronomy it is very plain in the Old Covenant, to the Judaic people, God said if you sin, the curse will be to “the third and fourth generation” (Deuteronomy 5:9) is only those who hate God. Also if you are a Christian you believe that Jesus broke all curses with his death.
Perhaps you should look in your bible concordance. First accursed (from 2 Kings) is not the same as cursed, accursed means horrible, abomindable. Job 1:5 does not use the word curse at all, it is course. Galatians 3 curse means burden and in the Pslam curse means strong rebuke.

Yes,there are generational curses existing today,such as sickness,alcoholism,drug addiction,witchcraft,ect.
As a Christian, you have the power in the name, & Blood of Jesus to break & stop the generational curses.
Prayer of 2 or more works also. If 2 or more are gathered in my name I am there in the midst of them. Ask my Father anything in my name, and it shall be done for you by my Father which is in Heaven. "Believe and Receive."
Say,"Father, I plead the Blood of Jesus over my family and I bind and cast these generational curses out in the name of Jesus."
The way you live your life can be an example to your future generations. Teach your children warfare prayer. Put on the whole armour of God.
Also,as a Christian with the Holy Spirit residing in you,No curse can be put on you. Because Greater is He that lives in you than the one that is in the world.

Perhaps you are confusing the word "curse" with Dysfunction. Dysfunction runs in all families as there are cycles of abuse, neglect, ignorance - negative ways of dealing with things that our parents pass onto us because their parents and their parents and so on passed on to them down the line.
The Good News IS...once we become aware of what these family dysfunctions are that have been passed along to us, we then have the power and control to stop them. We then begin a new cycle of our family future in passing on more positive ways of dealing and handling things :-)
This is a completely different thing from any religion...it's the way ALL families are. It truly sounds like you are becoming more aware so all you need to do now is stop it...you can be the adult who has the courage to bring new wonderful things to your future generations :-)

Generational curses are judgments that are handed directly to persons as a results of fact of sins perpetuated in a family contributors in distinctive generations. Generational curses are similar to unique sin curses as a results of fact they may be handed down on a generational foundation. They variety in that generational curses do not impose eternal judgment. they convey judgment or bondage for the time of a individual's existence, lowering the familiar of existence, till that particular addresses the sin themes that positioned the curses into place. Moses addressed this difficulty while the Israelites have been making waiting to head into the promised land. He informed the recent era that substitute into making waiting to head into in that they does not enter except the dealt with their very own very own sins and likewise the sins of their fathers. The account could properly be modern in Leviticus 26:39-40 two This substitute into not the determination of Moses yet of God while human beings sinned against him and idolized fake idols and truly broke all 10 commandments that he had given Moses. He punished them through making them roam the wilderness for 40 years...which through then lined yet another era. however the subsequent era substitute into allowed to head into the promised land! regardless of what religions coach i don't think in generational curses. I do have self belief in family contributors ailment and in case you do not face the themes they are going to repeat. which contain incest and alcoholism and so forth. To me that may not generational...besides the certainty that some ought to assert it is. yet while that have been authentic then why are there some people who do not repeat what substitute into completed to them or lived in a family contributors the place it got here approximately.? those are very own options! i don't think that God is going to punish you for what somebody else has completed....you would be judged on your existence and your sins and in case you're truly sorry for committing them. God is conscious what's on your heart....you won't be able to fool him.

Cathy You may have meant well but your in over your head on this one. If there were no curses or other evil there would not be any blessings either because there would be no need for them.
