All he'd needs is a pencil mustache to complete the "yeah, I've been nude on film, what of it?" look.

How do we know that isnt what he really looks like to begin with?? As far as I know there were not any cameras back in his time and I dont think there are any DETAILED descriptions of his physical appearance in the bible. I see that in many pictures/paintings of him he is wearing sandals. I assume they are worn to protect his feet from the hot sand. If you follow the logic of comfort, and he really did have long hair, then logically it probably WAS pulled back in a ponytail!!
Look at pictures of people from that part of the world. They are usually dressed in light colored clothes[men at least] and have very short hair. This manner of dress is due to the high temperatures in that part of the world. If Jesus had long hair he would have needed to keep it pulled back and possibly up off his neck to keep from frying his very mortal brains out!! The innocent part of his image is due to the artists skill and perception. I think he would look totally awesome in a ponytail and more authentic as well, but innocent?? WHO KNOWS!!!

I don't like men with long hair and then put it in a pony tail. I think I'd freak out really fast.

I have no idea what Jesus looked like. The artwork we see today is merely an artist's rendition, but not fact. If the rendition slicked back his hair into a ponytail, he wouldn't look any different to me ata ll.

Jesus did not have long hair as mans paintings portray Him
and would not been able to have a pony tail
for in His Word
as it is Him
it is written
" for even nature tells you for a man to have long hair it is a shame "
Jesus is the Living Word
and cannot do anything other then what He himself said
by it...
HE is TRUTH
so is His Word
mans rendetions are just that
MANS

Jesus didn't have long hair, nor did he have those big girly eyes like all the Catholic painters of the middle ages thought. Read your Bible. The only Jewish men who were supposed to have long hair were Nazarites. Jesus was a Nazarene - someone who was from Nazareth. Big difference there.

No because the images of Jesus that we recognize as being him are just made up. No one knows what Jesus looks like.

It was not Jesus's look that would have made you take notice of Him. In His day His words and actions were not at all ordinary and they are still amazing and relevant for this day and age as well. He was a spotless lamb
