Lets say you are a master geneticist. And one day you decide to create your very own life forms. You even decide to make them look like tiny version of yourself. (isn' that cute?) So you let them live and multiply in their own little box, but some of them just really aren't doing what you like them to do. So you pick out a special group of the good ones to kill all the bad ones. Somehow this just doesn't work. The bad ones far out number the good ones. You try and try and for some reason you just can't get them to do what you want.

Lets say you are also a parent. You have a loving son. And one day you look at your creatures and say. "Screw it I'm sick of trying to convince them". So you create two special cemetaries. One that will burn your creatures and another that will let them rest in peace. The bad ones are to be burned and the good ones are to be put to rest. So you send your son in to tell as many people as possible. He preaches and gets a few of them to listen. But since you want as many to listen as you possibly can, you decide to kill your son to send an even bigger message to all that had even heard of you son's short time.

My question is...Was any of this a good thing to do?

None of it sounds very good.

If I created tiny creatures with a specific purpose in mind, why didn't I just kill all of the creatures who failed to obey my commands myself? Why would I allow them to live if I don't have any use for them? Why would I send my child to go talk to the creatures when I could do it myself? Wouldn't they be more likely to listen to me? And what kind of message am I sending to these creatures that I'd kill my own son, but I can't be bothered to personally kill the creatures myself? This whole scenario is so strange.

"You try and try and for some reason you just can't get them to do what you want."

was it God that killed His son, or was it the people in Judea?

Christ was preaching a way of life, and through His death He created a way for all people to come and know His Father the way He knew Him, allowing for all people to be baptized in the Spirit.

now the son in your story...i don't think he had that power, at least you didn't mention it.

If you add the the ability to perfectly predict the outcome even before you started, I would say no.

My son could fit in that box? Wouldn't he squash all of the people with his big feet?
