My sister has pneumonia, and im afraid i will get it. I have a severe phobia of throwing up, and i have seen vomiting listed as a symptom of pneumonia. Is it common? what are my chances of getting it?any help would be awesome THANKS

Yeah i think vomiting is common with Pneumonia.. I don't know how contagious it is.. Look it up on WebMD & wash your hands!!

Yes, vomiting is a common symptom of pneumonia. However, it is only a symptom with bacterial pneumonia. If your sister has bacterial pneumonia, then chances are you will vomit. But if she doesn't then you most likely will have an upper respiratory infection. -Respiratory Student-

it is not a contagious disease but anyone can get it but throwing up will be the least of your worries if you do getting the next gasp of air to your lungs will be your only thought or desire
