Some children believe that Santa comes every Xmas, some believe that there is a God, some believe.......
Some adults believe that there is a God, some adults believe there is no God, some adults....
Just because 1 belief is wrong that does not mean that all beliefs are wrong. Oh, and what if I changed your statement to "Children believe in Santa whereas adults believe in Hitler. Both are fictional characters created by human beings." Calling something fictional does not make it fictional. I'm not saying that God exists, nor am I saying that he does not. My point is that neither side has solid proof, meaning that either side could be believing in fiction.

I think God is a character created by human beings to explain the sense of God's presence that they feel, deep inside.
Unfortunately, others see only the character and don't comprehend the presence. The character is by far the lesser of the two aspects. It is only the means used to explain the unexplainable.
