NO...Of course not, unless you plan on putting it in your mouth and chewing on it.......There was a scare a few years back about inhaling lead dust in Indoor Ranges, but state and federal guidlines have changed making that a non-issue now too.Relax and enjoy shooting your 38 Special.........

As the others have said, there is no real danger, but to be on the side of safety, you still should wash your hands with hot water and soap after handling lead ammo, especially if you;re going to be eating soon after.

Lead poisoning is a real health issue, but mainly for children who chew on toys that have lead paint or other objects. Just wash your hands before you eat.
