This is the first time since I've had my 1 year old Corgi that it's rained all day. Usually, I can let her out in the backyard to run around after the morning rain has dried off. Today, it has rained all day and she's been cooped up inside except for the 30 minute walk we had this afternoon. She's been chewing on her bullystick for the most part and is otherwise bored. I wish I had one of those Buster Cubes or Tug-A-Jugs to keep her busy- are there any creative homemade toys like that?

I have played fetch and tug with her in the house, but I myself have work to do (I'm a student). Any ideas on keeping her busy? She doesn't like watching television either.

Oh, I almost forgot that I had a Kong- I just put some peanut butter in it and gave it to her.

For my German Shephard (who's toys usually last 20 seconds) and empty 2 liter pop bottle with apples/carrots inside works for a while. Any empty small water bottles with ice cubes inside. I usually practice basic obedience (sit/down/stay) and then try learning a new training exercise like find (hide his favorite toy in the house somewhere) or search (I hide in the house and he tries to find me). The more he has to think, the more fun and tired he gets. Lots and lots of praise helps too.

There are some extremely undesirable shelters accessible. there grew to become into one at present close down because of the fact the canines did not have food water or appropriate preserve. Take action, it is the superb project to do.

Do you have an empty water bottle or soda bottle? If so, put a handful of food in it. She will have to work to get the food out.

I use "mind exercises" when the rawhide is done. I feed them piece by piece by making them catch it. I put them on longer sit-stays or down-stays all the time acknowledging their "work". They seem to prefer this way to the couped up in the doghouse way.
