can any one help me . i have a bottel of brandy since last10 years i want to give some drops to my children . is it safe . does brandy have any expiry date or not. plz help me

While brandy doesn't have an expiration date, I don't think giving alcohol to children is the wisest course of action. Then again, this is coming from someone who is asking if alcohol has an expiry date.

It depends, if it is sealed, it's ok to drink as long as there is no discoloration or residue at the bottom of the bottle. Always leave the bottle on it's side, so the cork cap will not deteriorate. Cork caps need some moisture to maintain it's tightness

Brandy has a sufficiently high alcohol content that it will not got bad regardless of circumstances. That means you can leave it in the open, in the fridge, on the bar or table, it doesn't matter. it left open. it will evaporate like any other liquid.
As far as serving it to your children, thats your business certainly, but are you sure about it?

Depends if its open or not.
If its sealed, then it should be good for 15+ years. If possible, leave the bottle on its side if you plan to store it for awhile.
If its open, your best bet is to consume it within two years. If you have a devicie that is able to get the air out then you might get an additional 1 to 1.5 years out of it

i have opened the brandy bottle last january-2014 and tightly closed since uptodate its consumable or not?

Taste it to see if it is drinkable. If it is keep it and enjoy. If not, you can always cook with it. I would never give away an open bottle of anything.

all alchol has a expiry date they get more alcoholic as they age not a very good idea to give to a child best bet buy a new bottle and disregard of old
