He really likes seafood and meat. I am considering this a date so I also need ideas of where to go for this occasion and how I can set the romantic mood for both of us. Please help!

If he wants Lasagna, why not make that for him? Add a nice side salad, and leave off the garlic bread due to the romantic mood. lolol, but if you both eat it, you won't notice the garlic.

My boyfriend's favourite food is beef/french dip. Buy and "au Jus" packet from the store and your favourite buns.
Slow cook a roast rubbed with red wine, garlic, lemon or orange juice, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Follow the "Au Jus" instruction (cook this when the roast is basically done) and add drippings from the roast for extra flavour.
I usually make a caeser salad with bacon as well. You could add seafood (like shrimp) to this too. Any other salad would be yummy.
Dish the finished "au jus" into bowls to dip your beef buns in. I like to put dijon and a touch of horseradish on toasted buns.
It's really yummy!

If he wants Lasagna, make it for him, he'll really like you.
Otherwise, why did you ask him what he wanted?
Get a nice bottle of Chianti, & rent a DVD movie.

Well are ya gonna make it for him, or buy it for him?

Chicken and vermouth, with tomatoes, onions over rice. Quick and impressive.

chicken etouffe, much more involved, must learn to make a roux (WELL WORTH YOUR TIME), will make mistakes. dont serve him your first attempt.

sauteed crawfish in butter - cajun style, see Prudhommes recipe

jambalaya is always a favorite. Make it spicy, serve with copious amounts of red wine.
