that would really depend on what you were consuming and in what quantity. insulin sensitivity natural decreases as the day progresses so high carb meals consumed in the evening or later may over time contribute to an increase in body fat over time if the person is not physically active. free fatty acids are the primary energy source used by skeletal muscle when the body is at rest. rest being the equivalent to sleep, watching tv, computing, light house work, etc. basically low intensity activity that does not increase the heart rate above normal. skeletal muscle only switches to using glycogen when the level of activity is moderate to high and the body can not convert fatty acids at a high enough rate to keep up with energy demands. this is why those that are not physical active daily simply do not warrant a high carb intake.
soft drinks are nothing more than liquid death. high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is basically poison to the human body and has nothing but a negative effect on the endocrine system and health over time.

No if you eat dinner late that doesnt make you gain weight quicker. What makes you gain weight is the bad food you eat at the dinner. You can have your last meal as late as 11pm or midnight but if its clean food that just not going to do anything to your weight gain.
So once more eating late doesnt make you gain weight.
Eating bad food or a lot of carbs and fats at the dinner time will make you gain weight.

all myths
eating dinner at any hour does not matter...weight gain is all about intake versus activity...
it doesn't matter when...
you take in 3500 calories in a day and only burn off 2500 you're going to gain weight
doesn't matter WHEN it happens
soda only makes you fat if you drink more calories than you burn
