False,In a Minority government, It can fall and at any time and cause an election.In a Majority government, the Prime Minister can call an election any time he wants,but has to call one before the fifth year.Most prime ministers will call an election sometime in the fourth year.The length of a term is usually 4years+months.

Look we vote when there is an election.

So assuming our current PM stays in for 4 yrs than, yes we'll vote every 4 yrs on federal government.

However the last PM we had who lasted 4 yrs was Jean Cheretian....
