Some fish have more mercury than others. Some, like salmon, are better for you than other fish. I think the old advice of eating a very colorful diet is the best, since eating a large variety of foods helps to ensure you are getting as many nutrients in their natural state as is possible. So, the more varied your diet, the better.
To find out more about mercury in fish, I did a search and found the following article put out by the FDA and they say that most fish in the USA is safe. If you go to the bottom of the article, it also shows which of the fish that was tested had the most mercury, which was shark and swordfish. This also somewhat depends on where the fish live.

It depends what type of fish, i dont think it is good too eat it everyday , if you are eating it for every meal. Fish contains mercury and mercury can cause problems if taken in large doses. So as long as you dont eat huge amounts you will be ok. It is better to get other proetins from other meats though, fish is only one of the essentials

There are lots of good things in fish, but plenty of PCB's and mercury. Vary your diet. No need to eat fish everyday. You should have other proteins.
