I'm not going to lie,,,there are times when I avoid telling my Friends the truth,,not lie to them,,,but just divert their attention or have a coughing fit or something...Like asking me if they look fat in a certain outfit,,,now you would think anyone would know that a chrome yellow skirt is just not something you should wear if you have big hips,,,(well, never wear actually) but I have this friend who is either blind as a bat or needs a new mirror...this was my coughing fit.....now you should always tell the truth,,,but if it is going to hurt their feelings,,,,,find another way out,,,,after all, I am sure she would do the same for me, if I bought a bright red sweater with my front bumper....eeewww!

Depends on the truth. There's "helpful, caring truth", "nitpicking judgmental truth", or "their beliefs that they like to call 'truth' ".
The first version is good.

It depends on what one means by "truth". Facts can be manipulated and misinterpreted. If you mean "honest opinion", then I'd agree.

Yes , especially if they inquired about it. but i lost a cotact that way.
