I have trigeminal neuralgia. I've taken Carbamazepine but I was wondering if there was something natural I can take or something I can do at home to help with the pain.

Unfortunately, Trigeminal neuralgia is a disorder affecting the trigeminal V cranial nerve, and therefore is a direct link to the brain. Chances are good that there are no natural remedies for the pain that will help you, but I would suggest massage, and acupuncture. Accupuncture stimulates the sympathetic nervous system which triggers the release of endorphins which help block pain. Best wishes!

Unfortunately, there is no simple remedy for trigeminal neuralgia. Other anti-epileptic drugs are used to varying effects. For other options, check out www.mayoclinic.com/health/trigeminal-neuralgia/

That might be the safest drug which is also effective, see the Merck Manual link, (there also is a home edition free online)
