> If you analysis the grert democraies, like UK, USA till todate all the presidents were believers.

the religious aspect only affects a presidency when the person brings it in, so at least that wouldn't be a problem. an atheist could still make a horrible president, even without religion involved, but i bet it would be a more rational government. i'd vote for any religion or an atheist if they were the candidate who i believe will be better for the country, we aren't voting for the position of god, we're voting for the leader of the country.

This seems to be a slow day for you, you usually ask more stimulating questions. But I don't see a lot of changes happening if that were the case. They would still be an American. I would not expect them to ask, or lead the nation in prayer during a disaster such as 9/11 or Katrina. But they wouldn't be cold hearted or anything like that either.

Which atheist are you speaking approximately especially? i don't sense the ought to bash every physique for his or her ideals. in spite of the shown fact that if human beings proceed to submit questions (like this one) which generalise approximately atheists (or every physique else particularly) then those human beings deserve any "bashing" they get for his or her lack of understanding and stupidity. you will no longer locate atheists announcing "god is stupid" or "god created an invisible guy" and so on simply by fact atheists have not got self belief in any god for this reason how can he/she/or no longer it is stupid or create some thing if it would not exist. you think in some all effective god parent - high-quality. yet do no longer act stupid by posting questions like this or you would be reported as precisely what you're.

Diplomacy of the United States

The art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or states. It usually refers to international diplomacy, the conduct of international relations through the intercession of professional diplomats with regard to issues of peace-making, trade, war, economics and culture

Regardless, if the president is an atheist or religious is of no concern!
The United States is not under the rule of a dictator.

Fortunately, the majority rules in this country. So, hopefully a leader from the vocal minority will never rise to power. A sad day that would be indeed.

He (gender specific only for the sake of simplicity) would try his best to keep church out of the affairs of government while respecting freedom of religion. He would attempt to increase funding of scientific research. He would attempt to increase NASA funding. He would attempt to remove religious slogans from our money and the Pledge of Allegiance. He would try to keep religion out of schools.
In short, he would do his best to uphold the Constitution of the United States. And he would fail because religion still holds sway over the masses with their false promises and baseless claims of divine authority. Nothing would change.

Well, the Bill Clinton White House was atheist and his basic beliefs included the ideas that:

a) Political competence (aka slipping on the truth) counts, not character, and

b) Monica Lewinsky was a pizza delivery girl to the White House and nothing more.

So another atheist White House would mean more of the same and worse.

Changes would depend on his/her stance on the issues and his/her ability to get the senate and the house of representatives off their butts...

I am gonna throw mini-marshmallows rather than bash... Who doesn't enjoy a good mini-marshmallow storm? I might even throw some graham crackers and chocolate to make it a Smore Storm..

Mmm, I suppose it would depend on his ideology. A lot of the early presidents were deists, which is about the same, so I guess we've already been there.
