I know this sounds ridiculous, but what makes a man say "hun" to a woman he doesnt even know?
Example: You hold the door for a man who has been previously "checking you out" He then casually thanks you by saying
"Thanks hun!"
Is it because he thought I was attractive? Or just being polite? There are other instances this occurs I'm sure, but I was just curious if you men always say "hun" to women!

Could mean nothing, I call women "hun" or "love" all the time, regardless of whether I'm interested.

Not sure what he's thinking. I never say hun. Now if he says thanks you gorgeous sexy babe....then I think he likes you...lol

i have done similar and it was unconcious what i normally say to my partner ---- i try very hard not to because i could be classed as sexist --- best wishes
