A package of plastic refrigerator number magnets.
All kids love magnets!
I should know; I have magnets from when my sons were toddlers; one son is 40 years old and one son is 28 years old.
When they come for visits, they likes to rearrange them and reminisce about where they got them, which is the oldest, who gave them this one or that one.
When they are here at the same time, they count them to determine who has the most.
But, their favorite one's are, always, the numbers and letters.

Pillows of every different number can be made for the bed. My goddaughter is austistic and she likes all letters and numbers herself. Look for a local seamstress or you could actually get the material you want and sew it yourself.

How about puzzles with numbers on it. That will also help with building fine motor skills. Also, any tracing books that have numbers in it to help with tracing/writing. Does he have a computer? You could get him a math computer game. Good luck!

Any board game or card game that has to do with numbers that way you could play together! how about uno? that's a really fun game and it also has bright colors and you could play with other people. or chutes and ladders? that's a pretty simple game as well.

I JUST GOT A GREAT IDEA.
you should get him a multiplication board.
it has multiplication questions on it, and when you push the button, the answer shows.
