I had my wisdom teeth removed 4-5 days ago surgically, and I can feel the thread coming out. I can even see the piece of loose thread. What should I do? My dentist is only open three days a week, and not until saturday. ;( ShouldI be worried, even though it's already been 4 days?

No worries, the sutures are supposed to come out on their own! Since it's been about 4 days, you're in the healing process and it's OK for them to fall out. Make sure to keep the area really clean to avoid infection.

I have the same issue, I had all my teeth out 5 days ago and my dentist used dissolveable stitches, and my stitches on the one side are completely hanging out and there's still a pretty Sizeable hole and still pretty sore, but every site I've looked on says 2 weeks or more until their SUPPOSE to 'dissolve' and it's Sunday I obv can't call my dentist. Quite frankly I'm pretty worried seeing as how it's all my teeth out, not just one or two.

This is plenty of time for your extraction sites to heal and not need them any more. If you are supposed to return to the doctor to have them removed then just pull the loose end with some tweezers and take it out yourself. If you have the dissolving kind you wouldn't need to go back except for a checkup but you can still take it out yourself by grabbing an end and pulling....it's NOT going to hurt.

RELAX!!!! Your dr. used DISSOLVING stitches. When they aren't needed anymore, 4-5 days, they fall out. They are supposed to fall out. If they bother you, snip the loose ones. Otherwise they'll fall out, you'll swallow them and nobody gets hurt.

not to worry, gums heal quickly and by now you probably don't need the sutures anyway.
