Hi Malka, I meet you in Seniors, these people over here get crabby so don't pay attention. Aspirian is not a good thing to give cats, it will kill them
When my cat has a cold I usually play the wait and see game. I watch to make sure they are drinking water, eating using the litter box. If anything changes I take them to the vet. I watch their eyes too, if they start running I take them in. Like humans not much you can do for a cold, but I watch the syptoms in case they get a infection. Hope all works out, come back to Seniors!
By the sounds of yours, since you think he has a fever, I'd take him in to the vets.
Rebecca V: you can give a dog aspirian, as with humans it goes by weight. A 10 lb dog can have half a baby aspirian and be fine. I gave them to one of mine for heart problems.

Just wait it out, and it'll get better in time. As someone else said, just make sure your cat is drinking enough water and eating CAT food. Pedialite shouldn't be given to cats, try giving her soft food or canned food. Check Shira's poop for anything unusual, like blood or something too.
Human medicine should never be used on animals. Even things like benadryl cream for itchiness. Best thing to do is bring your cat to the vet, but I don't think that there's much of a point in doing something like that for a cold that will go away on it's own in a couple days :]

no.. u shouldnt! giving a cat(or dog) can cause the animals kidneys to fail. possibly leading to permanent damage. the best thing for u to do is to take ur cat to the vet. giving an animal "human medicine" can be more fatal that the sickness itself.

If you won't or can't take to vet.
Then keep kitty warm, outa drafts, hydrate with pedyalite is good or chicken broth, and let it run it's course.
Hopefully your cat willhave a good immune system to fight of the viral infection.
Gd. luck.

Only if you want to KILL HER!!!!!!!!!!!! Tylenol is TOXIC to cats.
Try a VET! Sounds like a URI and she need antibiotics!!!
Insulting??? Try TRYING to save you from killing your cat!!!!!
Clearly, you do NOT want to take it to the vet where it could be helped. You want to play vet at home. Hope it lives through you "practicing" on it!!!!!! It is too bad....probably a little Clavamox and it would be good to go!!!!!

Believe it or not, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, and Tylenol can be fatal to dogs and cats. Its best to consult a veterinarian.
