Religion can improve some peoples' life and degrade the lives of others. It's not for everyone. The problem is that many religious people believe everyone should believe as they do.

Some yes, some no.
Depends mostly on what religion they follow. What they really need is a relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Not religion.

Why don't I have the option of saying "WORSENS PEOPLES' LIVES"?
They seclude themselves from the outer world, thus creating problems for their children when they enter the real world.
They miss out on many of life's pleasures, simply on the premise that they are going to get rewarded for it (can you say, wishful thinking?)
What about when they use religion as an excuse to harm others? The Christian crusades is a nice example. The current problem with islamic radicals is another. Both are based on religious extremism.
And the list goes on.......

1). Have you ever seen the big, expensive cars that these religious leaders own? The multi-million dollar houses? Yes, religion definitely improves SOME people's lives.
As for everyone else, of course not. They are following lies.

Kinda. It has caused an unbelievable amount of suffering in this world. But, governments need to control people. Plus people need it to feel better about death. So religion serves a purpose.
