Will it be alright if I substitute olive oil for the canola oil, and use fresh lemon juice for the bottled lemon juice?

Thanks in advance

The link you provided did not have a recipe but I think that would be fine.

I would NOT use Olive Oil because it is pretty flavorful (unlike canola or vegetable oil), and you'll be able to taste the olive oil in it...Use soybean oil, vegetable oil...but not olive oil. And it's probably better to use fresh lemon juice rather than the bottled lemon juice. Good luck with the recipe!

Always use fresh lemon juice over bottled. I just tastes better. I IS better.

Regarding the olive oil, you could use it if the flavor won't be a factor. If you are using it in salad dressing or a savory dish, the answer is usually yes. If you are going to cook with it, remember that olive oil has a lower smoke point.

Fresh lemon juice is absolutely fine. You may still want to use the canola. Oilve oil has a very distinct taste and depending on the recipe (the one you pasted wouldn't load for me) it might make an odd taste.

I would say yes without looking at your recipie. If anything the olive oil is step up in flavor and health...and so is the fresh lemon juice.

the lemon part is fine...and i guess that the olive oil is ok too. I once sudsituted olive oil of canola oil...it only tasted a little different.

Yes and Yes BUT I would use Wession Oil or any veg oil. The olive oil might give a smell or strange taste.

only if you want to end life on this planet as we know it........and the answer is yes just watch temp on olive oil as it tends to smoke when to hot......and the lemon juice bottled is fresh unless you want to work out your hand and fore arm muscles squeezing half a dozen lemons then straining the plup out

It will be fine if you think about it you get a fresher more delicious taste to your food if you use olive oil or an actual lemon.

Yes... on both. The olive oil will give a slighly nutty flavor, but it will work.
