Imagine jesus spoke personally to you and asked you to do something that would challenge you immensley or even take you away from all that you know and are comfortable with.
Would your faith in his request make you do it or would you say no.This of course is a hypothetical question but be as honest as you feel you can be.
Explain your reasons.Thanks.

If I was absolutely sure that it was Jesus, I would do my best to follow what He told me to do. God doesn't expect us to stay in our comfort zones all of our lives, and there are times when He presents us with that very choice: be comfortable, or follow His will for our lives.

I've never been asked to do anything drastic like be a missionary to China or live in Africa. But He has asked certain smaller things of me, and sometimes I've been able to say, "Yes, Lord" with a willing heart. Sometimes it's been a lot harder to smile and agree with His plans for my life.

That's when I have to be willing to be made willing and obedient. Like the saying goes, "God never said life with Him would be easy. He just said that it would be worth it."

FYI: i'm not a Christian, yet it is an open communicate board so i'm able to respond to this question if i opt to. Counter question: what makes you think of the Koran is a superb e book to apply to choose a JEWISH guy? did you comprehend that the Koran relies on the Torah? Why do you think of that the two Jews and Muslims do not consume beef and have Abraham as their patriarch? Muhammed wasn't stupid, this is why he modeled the Koran after the Torah. Why else could there be point out of Jewish and Christian prophets? i don't have faith that Jesus grew to become into the "messiah" interior the renowned, or archaic experience of the word yet i visit assert this: the call of Jesus remains around after 2,000 years and is accepted to extra desirable than 2 billion human beings. To the superb of my awareness, no different man or woman can declare this - no person. As Islam grew to become into prevalent interior the seventh Century (via the calendar time scale i take advantage of) then Jesus has been in living history for style of 7 centuries longer than Muhammed. you need to think of approximately that for a whilst. And in order that which you comprehend, you're in contract with the Jews that Jesus grew to become into not the messiah. Mazeltof!

I would go anywhere and do anything The Lord asked me to do - b/c when God calls, He also equips - He anoints for the task ~ so my answer would most definitely be yes Lord..
Ezekiel 22;30 ~ God looked for someone to stand in the gap and found none ~ i never want to let Him down in this way, especially after what He did for me ~ possibly i would have some fear, but i know Him well enough to know He would be with me all the way ~ He doesn't ask us then abandon us ~ He's the power, I'm the instrument ~ He only needs a yes ~ and He takes us at our word.

Jesus asked all of his disciples to do just that. I'm not sure I am capable of walking away from all that I know and love, but I would like to think I am. I would probably be more like the rich man who wouldn't give up his treasure in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. We won't know until we are faced with the question.

Jesus tests us, the "other side" tempts us. So, if I know it's a test, I will attempt to rise to the challenge, no matter my level of discomfort. Of course, I fail or fall short a lot, but there is always forgiveness and I learn a lot. If it's temptation I try to resist but sometimes *do* give in.

It is already a challenge to comply with the commands of Jesus that appear in the Bible. Many of us do not make a great enough effort to do that. I prefer to think that I would comply with any command Jesus gave me. I believe he is the annointed king over God's kingdom, and that whoever listens to him will have the greatest reward onme could ever look forward to. In my life, almost every day I consider in what ways I do not fully comply with the biblical commands, and what changes I should make in my life to comply with them.

Abraham, Moshe (Moses), Zechariah (father of John the baptist) and Maryam (Mary, mother of Jesus) put up counter arguments and questions and even disbelief when God spoke directly to them. This shows that God does expect us to use our minds and is prepared to answer our reasonable questions and concerns in a gentle way.

I have been out of my comfort zone before out of obedience to Christ. In the moment it was horrible. But the results were great. He asked me to talk to someone about their walk in the Lord. I didnt want to, I felt like Jonah. But I did finally talk to this person. At the time, he belittled me and made me to feel pretty small, but a year later, this person came back and thanked me for stepping up and talking to them. It made a positive change in their life. Praise God.

The problem is doubt, it nullifies our faith and renders us ineffective as an instrument of God's grace and a blessing to others. It's not a hypothetical question but as we grow in Christ we get to know His voice and we learn to obey it. Jesus could clear up all doubt by appearing to us in such a dramatic way that we would not even need faith. But it's faith that pleases God.

As for myself, I have already missed out because of doubt but my desire continues being 'movedby' God. I would & will go to the ends of the earth because He leads me.

Joh 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (KJV)

Psa 23:3
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. (KJV)

Jesus already given one test

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover " (KJV Mark 16)

i have never seen any body who pass this test.
