Girls, why do you do this and what's in it for you? What should I do?

My ex broke up with me 5 months ago. She still calls me evry 2-3 weeks. She calls and says she misses me and our relationship, etc.She has been seeing someone else and she has told me more than once that she doesnt like him that much and that they dont have the same connection that we have.A month ago I stopped taking her calls and havent answered her texts.She saw me 3 weeks ago with another girl and she called me at work 2 days later and told me several things about how she misses me and how special I am and then she started crying and told me she wanted to see me, and that she is thinking of leaving the guy she is with, etc. She never acts on her statements, so I told her that I am moving on and that I think it would be best for her not to call me again EVER. When I said that she hung up on me.she called today but I told her I had to go.I do want to be with her but she tells me she misses me but doesnt ever come back to me.did I do the right thing? Why do you get out of these games?

idk...in a way she's trying to make you jealous. in another its like she's just playing with you. i think that what you did was a teensy bit harsh, but not too too harsh. Maybe call her up and tell her exactly how you feel. Ask her what her point is and if she really wants you back or is just using you. If she doesn't give you direct answers just tell her that your sorry but you don't have time to play games. If she answers with what seem to be sincere answers, but then goes right back to the way she always was, tell her that it really isn't working and your sorry, but you don't have time for her games. You did do the right thing. She doesnt want you to move on. Like guys do with girls, girls think they still own a guy. She likes to know that your still hung up on her which your not and its driving her crazy. Obviously you two will miss each other after a break up but you have to not make contact with that person so its so much easier to get over them. Dont answer her phone calls. If she goes psycho, then get a restraining order.

I would not be sucked back into her web of deceit. It seems like she regrets letting you go and now she saw you happy so she thinks you will take her back. Yes you did the right thing.
