Domestic abuse is a mandatory arrest. You can not call just to have it on record, if the police find evidence of abuse, they will make an arrest.
This could be the best thing for him, the court could order anger management, or other counseling.
Your other option is to not call. He will continue his abuse. And it will very likely get worse.
His threats to take the baby away are just that.... threats. Only the court can take a baby away. The standard they use is what is in the best interest of the child. Unless he can prove you are a danger to the child, it will not be taken away.

Yes, but just because you don't press charges doesn't mean the state wont. Go get a little notebook and document all that stuff. Then when you are ready, you can have documentation to show to the court. Will help alot.
Also, ignore the threats of him taking your baby....probably won't happen.
There are no victims, only volunteers.

It should come in handy when they sentence him following your murder.
If you are ready to stop being a victim, report the crime. Find a way out. There are shelters everywhere for women and children in abusive relationships if you have no where else to go. It does not get better. By not pressing charges you encourage the abuse to continue.

Yes you can...but he may kill you next. You'd better have a report made and have that loser arrested. You're also endangering your baby....you may not have it if you let loser-boy get away with battering you/baby.
