It's not ambiguity; it is outright contradiction.

There are definitely differences in interpretation. Apostolic churches (like the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches) believe that the proper context for interpretation of *seemingly* confusing or contradictory scripture comes to us in the form of church tradition. Protestants object to this, and feel scripture can be the only source of knowledge. To reveal my personal bias here, let me suggest that the Protestant position makes it possible to interpret the Bible an infinite number of ways, and leads to the 20,000 unique Protestant churches we have around the world today.

FYI, most Christian traditions would object to being called "sects". ;)

You mean like between the Catholics and Lutherans, right?

hahaaa...

It was Show and Tell day at the local elementary school. Two children displayed objects of faith.
The little girl brought a rosary and said "Hello, I'm Catholic and this is the Rosary".

The little boy displayed a covered container and said "Hello, I'm a Lutheran and this...this is a casserole."

Ambiguity? The Bible is very clear. I think you meant denominations (instead of secs). I believe denominations can be a healthy thing. I also believe religions are man-made and not God's idea AT ALL. He wants to have a relationship with us, not a set of rules.

No it is because some do not accept the authority that Christ left on earth, His Church. In fact, many who cry "Lord, Lord" are in protest of His Church. May the Lord have mercy on them.

Partly, but more it is those who are not truly believers who foist their sinful idolatry upon the truth.
