I know like.... nothing about my new camra.
its a Konica Minolta Dimage E500
Am I suppose to put the SD card in my labtop and is something suppose to pop up??

You should have the SD card in the camera. Then you take the cable that you connect to your camera, and plug it in the USB outlet on your computer.
A popup window will open and you should be able to guide yourself from there.!

First thing, read the instruction book that came with your camera. I put the memory card directly into my laptop, and do not use the cord to connect the camera to it. Saves on your camera battery this way.

And it's a laptop, not a labtop.

As soon as you pop the card in, it SHOULD pop up...BUT if you havent installed the software, its not going to...Reinstall the software....

(Learned this the hard way. ha)
