No..saying something is not what that means. What it means to blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to understand what the Holy Spirit is and still reject the salvation of Jesus Christ.
The context of the passage you're referring to is when the pharisee claimed that Jesus was casting out demons by the power of demons. They saw GOOD and called it EVIL! Don't you make this same mistake...if you die with this error..you die the 2nd death too! Bless ya.

while a guy or woman sees the sparkling information presented via the Holy Spirit (like a actual miracle) yet is so against it that he rejects it, he blasphemes the Spirit and can't be forgiven. the rationalization he won't be able to be forgiven is they do no longer avail themselves to the forgiveness God grants. What the Pharisees have been doing replaced into suppressing the information presented via the Spirit. They endured to do this. It replaced into sin for them to accomplish that. Jesus referred to as this blasphemy of the Spirit. The Hebrew author known because it insulting the Spirit of Grace. one that continuously suppresses the reality God sends won't obtain saving grace. for that reason, he can on no account be forgiven. The Son of guy is Jesus.

(Mat 12:24) "But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils."
(Mat 12:32) "And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
In the light of the the context, i see it as not simply speaking irreverently against the Holy Spirit (He, not "it"), but a heart that is resisting the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and will not give in, and so in hardness of heart will-fully attributes His working to demons.
Thus "it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation" (Heb 3:15).
(1 Pet 3:18) "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
(Acts 3:19) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

The word blaspheme offends me more then the whole "Holy Sprit" nonsense. Calling people names isn't nice. The word Blaspheme implies I should in some way feel bad or guilty for seeking and sharing knowledge. I don't like that very much :-))

It is when you come to the knowledge of the truth, i said Truth & not some fake ideal, But the truth & because you are afraid to lose your family or friends & walk away from the truth, Then there remains no more scrifice for sin, seeing you have trotten the blood of Christ under you feet. BTW, if a person has done this, God will NEVER again deal with that person for salvation. Look at Judas.

It means to utterly reject God.
"Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." - Matthew 12:32

It is the sin of final despair at the very last moment of life. This sin is preceded by pride that refuses to accept heaven as an unearned gift.
