Don't go up to him & tell him you like him. That's too forward. What if he doesn't like you? Then, you'll feel humiliated & embarrassed as well. In time, he may show signs of liking you but leave it up to him.

I think that you should tell him how you feel.You can never know if he likes you back or not until you ask and rejection is the one fear we have for this but it can only make us curious to ask.

being too shy is just an excuse, if u don't like him enough to talk to him, then i guess he's not worth it? ...or maybe u should rethink how shy u are?
