I am having trouble figuring out what to get my 18 month old daughter for christmas. I am a single mother and I don't have much to work with, but I wanted to be sure that she had something to open on Christmas morning.
Please help!

Both my children LOVE their Little Touch Leap Pad.. It's made by leap frog and it has super durable pages and it's interactive... I got it for my 1st son when he was about a yr. old and he still LOVES it even though he is 3 1/2.. My youngest plays with it also. .So, it's very, very durable... It comes with one book/cartrige... You can find the toy/books etc... on ebay very, very inexpensive it retails for the "unit" about $25 and the books/cartriges are $6 to $10....

OR any Melissa/Doug wooden toys.. They are pretty and educational... The toys are made of wood and painted in primary colors my children LOVE them I leave them out all the time on my coffee table.. It's like pieces of art... Also, if you lose any pieces you call the 1-800 # on the bottom of the toy and you can get a brand new toy w/ all the pieces for 1/2 cost.. The toys are MADE in THE USA using NON-TOXIC paint... They have puzzles, stacking/sorting toys... Among others... They can be found at TARGET/WAL-MART or TOYs R US...

Fisher-Price toys are good my boys LOVE anything Little People.....

good luck and have a happy holiday....

Wrap boxes of oatmeal and toilet paper. Give her a bunch to unwrap. Start your own family traditions that you always do, even in high school, like setting out cookies and milk for santa, unwrapping one present on cmas eve. or going to midnight mass together. Your special stockings hung together. She will cherish these things later.
She will play with the boxes.
Give her a cuddly toy, and clothes. Maybe a trike. or some plastic big toy (like a fisher-price kitchen from the thrift store.) to unwrap-lots of bows-take loads of pictures.
Honest, she'll play with the boxes.
Be sure to get the string away from her fast.(choking)
Merry Christmas, mama.

You know it depends on what they are into. I got my 18 month old the Bounce and Spin Zebra that is $40. She also loves balls and to sit in things and play with necklaces and bracelets. So I am going to get some of those things as well, yet are safe. She loves books and stuffed animals as well.

She's still little so she doesnt know the whole meaning of Christmas and at that age they are happy with anything. My son is 2 and we got him a pillow in the shape of Spongebob. Maybe you can get her a little doll or a stuffed animal.

If you're in the UK try The Early Learning Centre. At that age kids like playing with activity stuff.Building bricks, noisy toys that play music, dolls that they can dress. It's a nice age to buy for.I miss my kids being babies.

is this really even a question she can't hardly even walk. go to wal-mart and get her something soft or something to chew on. it's not like she is going to be sad if you don't get her a Wii
