prayer can pervade most if not all of what we do
working and creating with the right intentions is a wonderful manifestation of prayer
how one positions themselves during prayer merely relates to how that may facilitate a state which can lead to and mirror the conditions above

God gave us hands to work with and knees by which to pray. Hands have little to do in the act of praying, but kneeling is the preferred way.
Clasping the hands together in prayer does not make a prayer. It is kneeling in private with the heart and mind turned contrite before God that matters.

a typical argument from atheists and skeptics is that if all concerns want a motive, then God must additionally want a motive. the tip is that if God wanted a motive, then God isn't God (and if God isn't God, then of path there is no God). it is a somewhat greater subtle form of the elementary question “Who made God?” all and sundry is consumer-friendly with of that something does now no longer come from no longer something. So, if God is a “something,” then He ought to have a motive, ideal? The question is complicated on condition that it sneaks in the pretend assumption that God have been given here from someplace and then asks wherein that for the time of all possibility. the respond is that the question does now no longer even make sense. it is like asking, “What does blue scent like?” Blue isn't in the class of concerns that have a scent, so the question itself is incorrect. in an identical potential, God isn't in the class of concerns which would be created or further on. God is uncaused and uncreated—He easily exists. How do all of us understand this? We understand that from no longer something, no longer something comes. So, if there have been ever a time mutually as there was in no way something in existence, then no longer something might have ever come into existence. yet concerns do exist. for this reason, considering that there does in no way weren't in any respect something, something mandatory to have continuously been in existence. That ever-latest ingredient is what we call God. God is the uncaused Being that further on the best purchase else to come again back into existence. God is the uncreated author who created the universe and the best purchase in it.

God gave us hands to do all that and more. Animals don't pray because God never intended for them to in the first place!

We pray with our hearts, work with our hands and leave the creating to God.

The problem as *I* see it is that most spend their time praying when they should be worshiping.... not that there is anything wrong with prayer.. I just think Praising is a tad more important than *asking* for things..... Praising God would bring about a lot of changes in this ole world...... Hands are meant for many things, Praise, prayers and work..... In a Christian life it should all work together....... go in peace..... God bless

Interesting question.
I don't think hands are necessary for praying, so I would eliminate the first one. I think the typical kneeling and such actions are but ceremonial procedures to show respect but He could hear you pray regardless.
But I'm not God, so I don't know.... interesting question.

Can't they be for both? That's the problem with society today - people either embrace the spiritual to the point of renouncing the physical aspects of life, or they embrace the physical to the point of abandoing the spiritual. Thank G-d I'm Jewish - we have to put up with a lot of crap, but at least we don't get stuck with such a ridiculous dichotomy.

While the others are praying, I am making my own dreams come true.
Seems to be working out better for me now that I don't kneel on the floor asking someone else to do my work for me.

What about Praying Mantis's?
Being a single for many years gave me insight into what my right hand, at least, must have been created for.
