I got a seven day free prescription for Ambien CR filled last night. I took one and went to bed in my room upstairs (or so I thought). I awoke about four hours later on the couch downstairs. I had consumed over half a bottle of wine and taken three more of the Ambien. I am very troubled about this. I don't remember anything. I have no history of substance abuse whatsovever and drink maybe three times a year. I'm afraid to discuss this with my doctor as he will think I'm an alcoholic or some kind of werido.

I take Ambien CR and I have been told by my kids I washed dishes in the middle of the night and have had conversations with them btu I do not remember a darn thing. It is a side effect and it works well helping you sleep. Just be careful and dont go driving.

wine+Ambien=death or severe reaction.
Ambien does have a rare side effect of sleep walking. If you have this reaction, don't take Ambien or Lunesta. You should stick with Rozarem.

I agree, you cannot take Ambien! You might try another type, they all don't react the same. Try melatonin as well--I use it every night. Requirements range from 1 mg to 6 mg, you have to experiment

Tell you doctor and do not take them again. Sleep walking is one of the side effects.
