Do you think that I should'nt have gotten a ps2?
I have an XBOX and a Gameboy, and I was debating between between a psp and a ps2 and i chose ps2 partly cuz it was cheaper. Do you think it was bad considering the system will be gone in about a year?
and also how do i convince my friends (because they call me an idiot because i didn't buy the ps3) that the ps2 is good? they just call me a nerd and dumb? help!!!!

Well, the price difference between the PS3 and the PS2 is reason enough to go the cheaper route. Weather or not you should have gone with the PS3 depends on what you personally prefer: A more technically advance system with alot of new features, plus the newest games. Or the PS2 which still has alot of good games (and is alot cheaper after you factor in all the games and add-ons.)
Does having the lasest thechnology matter to you? If not then the PS2 is still a really great system with tons of great games that are a lot cheaper.
I have an Xbox 360 so I've gotten use to spending $30 or $40 on used games I buy over the internet. Sometimes I go to Ebay and look at all the PS2 games, and theres plenty of truely classic games that I can get for 5-15 dollars.
Just a thought....If you decide you want any of the next-gen systems you could always sell your PS2, Xbox, and gameboy on Ebay and put that money towards a PS3 or Xbox 360... Or even a Wii if thats your bag.

Don't worry, the last game for PS2 (according to www.ign.com ) will come out in 2009. About convincing your friends - well, PS3 is stronger, than PS2 35 times, but you can tell them, that you saved a lot of money.

Keep it until you can get enough money until you can get a PS3 or Xbox360.
