As a Gunsmith, it would possible with some rifles, but hardly a practical or sensible thing to do.. It would be expensive and not cost efficient. You would be much better off just buying another rifle altogether in 300 Win Mag caliber

You realize that the added length of the .300 WinMag cartridge might give you some feeding issues, do you not?
I am not a fan of the .30-'06. Not that I think there is anything wrong with it, just that it bores me half to death. Even so, I'd not try to convert a .30-'06 to a .300 WinMag.
Unless you have a burning desire to burn up to 25% more powder to get no more than 100 fps more velocity, stay with the '06.
FWIW, I've had some unfortunate results with the .300 WinMag. I know the fault was in the rifle, not the cartridge, but it could not help colouring my opinion of the .300 WinMag.

One of the best rifle to convert (not concert) to .300 Win Mag. is the 1917 Enfield. Very strong and a nice rifle to handle.

Who, What, Where, Why and How?* I am not sure what you are asking but I prefer the 30-06, because when you have a 30-06 you don't need any other rifle.* You have a larger variety of bullet weights to choose from & it will take down any kind of game in North America.*

one question? leads to my question? Why would anybody want to convert an 06 to 300 win mag? Most people go the other way. What you are asking is sort of like taking a souped up 390 out of a ford pickup and replacing it with a six banger.

Rechambering and opening the bolt face isn't impossible, but it's a lot of work for the small difference in performance. Clymer and your gunsmith will be happy, though.

Yes, it is possible.
My dad had an '06 rechambered for .308 Norma Mag.
Take it to a qualified gunsmith for this work and you won't be sorry!
