Ah yes Gaia theory!
And before sun worship there was Mother earth worship!
I would have thought that 'tawaen, Incarnatrix of Evil' would have know a little about this!
As for if's
If we didn't bury our heads if's we wouldn't find answers.
The past is full of people doing it. Columbus did it, to name just one.
'Morganie' my dear sweet child, Do you not think that Nature interacts with humanity and performs miracles?
As for the Earth being a living organism with a spiritual consciousness. That's a hard one Isaac Asimov wrote a nice book about the concept 'Nemesis' a good read to give some people a little more to reflect on.
In a sense one could say that we evolved from the earth, thinking deeply about the origins of life then unless you are block by the concept of Adam and Eve you must start from the very beginning of life on the planet, which started simple and then became more complex.
Life as been knocked back to the starting block a few times and has always got back up and started again.
Read 'Terry Pratchet's Science of discworld for a simple outline.
The question 'What if the Earth instilled into us this consciousness to praise the Sun for the life giving energy that it transmits to the Earth?' is a little like the chicken and the egg in the sense that a curious mind will make connections and as with come from Earth and share the same experiences then either the sun or the earth was responsible for sun worship.
Without the Sun life as we know it would not be possible!
This is a simple fact.
Good question for those with enquiring minds, though a little hard for others.

in case you purely observed an entertainment park out interior the desolate tract, might you think of the floor purely coughed it up over billions of years? (the entertainment park being planet Earth and the desolate tract being the universe). I also have a super concern with the form of thinking that life might desire to be random threat, at first. additionally, there are such multiple in the process history and world extensive who've had first-hand direct valid journey with God who're sane or perhaps distinctly psychological. there is something to it undeniably!

1. We did evolve from th earth, in that we developed from a progression of other organisms over the millennia which arose from the earth through chemical reactions with sunlight and minerals.
2. Religions are the first step in man's progression to true knowledge, and arise in an attempt to explain the unexplained. Fortunately religions as created by man's attempt to explain the unknown fade away as the level of intelligence and understanding grows (and unfortunately, that won't happen for most of earth's human population for several thousand years)
3. For all practical purposes, yes the sun is earth's god-- our creator and reason we and all of life on earth exists. Without the sun or other factors, we would not be here.
I am glad every day I see the sun, for were it to not be there tomorrow, neither would we. And no manmade deity would save us.

I think it's just human nature (for most people) to find an entity to praise or worship. Though I do feel people should realize that the planets are very much alive and should be regardred with more respect. Look what pollution is doing to Earth, it's terrible.

I think that's a really fascinating idea. It kinda goes along with Carl Jung's concept of the collective unconscious, sorta.
Wow alot negative people on here, yikes. it always scares me when ppl think they understand everything.

Joseph Campbell did that for you -- look into it.
It's on video.
(Meanwhile, is that the kind of stuff you're using to get laid these days? unless I'm a potted plant, as a man.. I have to say you'll need to refine your rap.)

Seems like you're just pulling half-baked theories out of thin air.
In the Bible a real God interacts with humanity and performs miracles and signs to convince people that he is real and the one true God.
He set apart the nation of Israel and gave them laws so he could tell them more about his character and about how to live. He sent his son Jesus to that nation to reveal even further what he was like: personal, gentle, caring, loving...

There are an awful lot of unverified "what if's" in your question.
And none of them are remotely likely. The earth isn't an organism, it's an ecosystem. It's incapabble of instilling us with anything philosophical.

It has already been explained! Humans are God-conscious because humans were created in the image of God.
