can i get into the marines with just a G.E.D

Its possible but the marines only take so many GED holders a year. I have a GED & 6 college credits & they still said I needed to get the other 9 to qualify. But than again it can change from reqruiting station to reqruiting station. I honestly got put off pretty bad by that reqruiter, he was a first class a**hole to me & acted like I was not worth his time. But marine reqruiters Ive talked to before in another city were nice as hell & stright forward with me. It depends probraly on the need of that reqruiting stations needs or quota.

N O, you need a High School Diploma for the
US Marine Corps. You can check with the USMC Recruiter in your home town for more up to date information. The US Army will take GEDs and High School Diplomas!!

In general, yes, you should be able to. But, each branch of the military is different, and the Marines hold themselves to a higher standard. You will need to speak with a Marine recruiter to get the answer to that question.

Only sure bet is your Recruiter. However, with a GED you can get a course or 2 of College out of the way and they won't nearly look at the fact you have a GED "as hard".

You need to go in sit down with a recruiter. Discuss all of your questions, they are good folks, they really don't lie like they used to. If you do join, make sure you READ everything before signing.

Usually you have to have a diploma...but there are wavers. One of the morons my husband works with has such a thing. I'm sure you aren't a moron though.Talk to a recruiter and see what he can do for you.

and they let in like 1 percentage of ppl with a ged in

I would think so you don't need your brain because they take it out and send it through a blender and give it back to you hence the name Jar Head
