It's mostly about welcoming the return of the sun. Rituals differ from person to person (or group)...but they're all about the return of the sun, and the rebirth of the Horned God.

It's Christmas "rituals" for this atheist. After all, Christmas symbolism and celebrations came from Pagans to begin with. Plus I enjoyed it as a child.

Well I do a Yule ritual and eat holiday food and make merry. I am having Eggs, bacon and blueberry pancakes with rolls for breakfast and for dinner I am having ham, turkey legs dressing, breaded green tomatoes a chocolate Yule log along with nuts. I also plan to burn a Yule log this year.

We'll celebrate with family this year and i have a ritual prepared for myself later on so that i can meditate in peace and welcome the return of the light.

A new season with new beginnings , this is a time for reflection and change, or it is for me.

This may be the last year i spend Yule with my grandmother so i intend to enjoy every bit of it and give thanks that i was able to enjoy the return of the light with her.

Well, as I'm going to be travelling this year, I plan on just making sure I have time to meditate.

And sun-bathe, if the weather cooperates. *crosses-fingers* Since I'm going to be in the tropics. Not exactly seasonal, but it does honor the sun...

Apparently we are supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus, who was actually born in the spring. Makes no sense to me. I think it was a celebration of winter beginning to end because it was the longest day of winter with less sun. So every day after it, got a little sunnier. So it is a celebration of the end of winter.
