It's full of kangaroos, and they all jump!!!!!!!!!

To move, you'll need a reason to do so: marriage, job, investment. If you do not have any of these, you can't.
If you are below 40 you can try to find an employer who will be sponsoring you for a work visa.
If you have a lot of money, you can buy a business there (do not remember correctly, but think it starts with half a million US, others will tell you better).
If you find a good man from there, you can go on a fiancee/spouse visa.

Hmmm what kind of travel shows do you watch?

The nature and scenery is like they tell in travel shows, just beautiful. People are helpful and friendly, it is so much fun and exciting to travel around Australia.

My suggestion: before you decide to move to Australia, just go and have a holiday there. Meet the people, and don't spend your time in tourist resorts.

I think it is always a difference if you like a country for holiday, or if you have to live there. Problems occur everywhere.

Having said that, yes, I would move to Australia if I had the chance.

It depends on the travel show. Is California really as we see it in the movies? I suggest you get a copy of Bill Bryson's book "Down Under". It is very enjoyable and tells you a lot about Australia from the point of view of an American visitor. It should whet your appetite for more.

You have to keep in my mind that being on holiday in a country is very different than living there. There are many aspects of the life that a travel show can't show you.
Immigration is another issue. It is far from easy to relocate to Australia. They don't want just anybody coming in their country.

Australia would have to be better than the travel shows as they only show you a glimpse of the country. Australia is huge with much changing scenery. we are a multi cultural society . And yes it is fabulous here.
